Privacy Policy

Real people. Real tours. Real feedback. Here is what we collect during the beta, why we collect it, and what stays public.

Last updated: September 2026 · Beta version

Accounts via Clerk

Sign-in and account identity are handled by Clerk. We store your user ID and profile details needed to run the app.

Reviews are public

Tour reviews you publish are visible to other shoppers. Only share what you are comfortable making public.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal information. Listing data comes from licensed providers to power search.

Information we collect

Account information: when you sign up or sign in with Clerk, we receive identifiers such as your user ID, email address, and basic profile details. We store what is needed to associate reviews and account settings with you.

Content you provide: property reviews, ratings, tour notes, and photos you upload. Reviews are tied to your member account and moderated against our community guidelines.

Usage and technical data: pages you visit, searches you run, and standard request data (such as IP-derived rate-limit keys) used to keep search fair and prevent abuse of paid listing-data quotas.

Property listing data: public listing facts (address, price, beds, baths, photos supplied by the data provider) fetched from our listing-data provider to power search. This is information about properties, not about you.

How we use information

To operate the service: show properties, accept and display tour reviews, and run moderation.

To improve the beta: understand which areas and features get used so we can expand coverage beyond the current Dallas–Fort Worth beta area.

To keep the service safe: rate-limit search, detect abuse, and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.

We do not use your reviews to train third-party models, and we do not sell personal information.

Sharing

Public by design: anything you publish as a review — ratings, text, and photos — is visible to other RealView visitors.

Service providers: Clerk (authentication), our listing-data provider (property facts for search), and our hosting and storage infrastructure process data only to provide the service.

Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.

Photos and location

Review photos you upload may contain location metadata. Consider stripping EXIF location data before uploading if that concerns you.

We may resize and store uploaded photos to display them efficiently. Do not upload photos containing other people’s private information without their consent.

Cookies and similar tech

We and our providers (including Clerk) use cookies and browser storage for sign-in sessions, security, and basic preferences. There is no third-party advertising on RealView during the beta.

Retention and deletion

Published reviews stay visible until you delete them or they are removed under our guidelines, because other shoppers may rely on them.

You can delete your reviews from your dashboard. To request deletion of your account data, email realviewhouse@gmail.com from your account email address and we will handle account and associated personal data within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention duties.

Children

RealView is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

As a beta product this policy will evolve. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date below and, where appropriate, call out the change in the app.
